Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SeniorDevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

1. Architect and oversee the provisioning, configuration, and scaling of all technology infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud environments.
2. Lead the design, management, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for deploying Java/Linux-based applications across all platforms in Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
3. Evaluate and recommend cloud infrastructure optimizations to improve cost efficiency while maintaining high performance and scalability.
4. Manage the collaboration between Development and Operations teams with the adoption of modern DevOps tools and practices to optimize development lifecycles.
5. Design and enforce advance security policies and best practices, ensuring seamless integration into DevOps processes and operational workflows.
6. Lead regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, manage complex security incidents, and lead post-incident reviews to provide actionable insights to improve system design, response procedures, and overall reliability.
8. Define and Implement disaster recovery and high availability strategies, ensuring business continuity and system resilience in case of critical failures or outages.
9. Collaborate with senior management to align DevOps strategies with business objectives, providing regular updates on progress, key performance metrics, and technical challenges.
10. Act as a key advisor for the integration of new technologies, ensuring smooth adoption and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

We require a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field and three (3) years of work experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar occupation. In addition, the employer requires the following:

1) Demonstrated knowledge of cloud-based application, security principles and best practices gained through three (3) years of work experience.
2) Demonstrated ability working with Linux, Java, virtual machines, web server, servlet container, DBMS, Ant, Maven, Subversion, and continuous integration tools gained through three (3) years of work experience.
3) Demonstrated ability working with Google Cloud Platform gained through three (3) years of work experience.
4) Demonstrated knowledge of network security, threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and security architecture gained through three (3) years of work experience.
5) Demonstrated ability working with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint protection gained through three (3) years of work experience.

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

Location

This position is based in Boxborough, MA. We follow a Hybrid working schedule. Telecommuting is allowed but the candidate must reside within Massachusetts to come into the office at least once a week.
